The Bible holds all the secrets to genuine success.

Since all of us have experienced failure in some area of our life, one of the most important life skills we can master is how to respond to it. Successful people know how to turn every failure into a learning experience. The failure becomes their stepping stone to future success.

Setting goals is our first step toward turning around any failure. It may be necessary for us to write down what it is that brought about our failure, and then to identify from God’s Word and write down the wisdom step needed to correct the problem. This is coupling intention with appropriate action.

“Then the LORD replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.’” (Habakkuk 2:2)

Success requires diligence, and planning for it requires that we know and understand God’s methods for achieving that success.

  • “In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:6)
  • “Wise people think before they act; fools don’t—and even brag about their foolishness.” (Proverbs 13:16)
  • “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5)

There are laws or principles of success that successful people follow. By earnestly looking at what these laws entail and planning ahead for success, you can be assured of living a productive, contented, and victorious life. If, on the other hand, you do not avail yourself of the learning necessary for successful living, you have by default “prepared” for an unsuccessful life.
