Jesus requires us to know what we want so we can ask for it by name. This is one of God’s principles―the principle of agreement. A covenant agreement requires two or more people. What do you want Jesus to do for you? Are you seeking physical healing? Healing for your marriage? Restored relationships with children and/or other family members? Are you in need of emotional and mental healing? Are you seeking a business opportunity or a new job, to be debt free and financially stable? Are you seeking a church family, and/or a new life by receiving salvation from the Giver of life?
No matter how large or small it may appear to be, if you have a need you must specify it to Jesus. You can’t receive from Him if you neither know nor voice what you’re in need of. God gave us a mouth to ask, so be sure you ask for the right things from Him.
- “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19)
Jesus responds to people who know what they want. Remember, it’s God who plants a dream within your heart. And He desires to know whether you want the dream He has for you. Too many want only their dream, and God doesn’t waste His dreams on those who don’t aspire to them.
